As photographer/consultant for Anovos and the owner of Movie Prop Sites, Art Andrews often comes face-to-face with some of the most iconic screen-used props in film history. After visiting several of the original Ghostbusters proton packs in storage at Sony Studios' archive, he asked us to create a painstaking replica of Bill Murray's "Venkman" pack from the 1984 film. The process involved locating decades-old electronic and pneumatic components used on the original prop, sourcing casts taken from the screen-used packs, and researching changes made to the pack for the 1989 sequel (in order to replicate the details as seen in the first film).

The finished replica includes pieces made by several of the best propmakers in the industry and was assembled and finished by Ernie Slaughter and Douglas Sullivan. It is constructed of fiberglass, aluminum and resin. The pack has a fully rechargable custom electronics package including an amplifier, lighting, a subwoofer and a tweeter. Inside the shell is mounted a PSA/DNA-certified vintage autograph from Bill Murray. It was signed - where else? - in New York City back in the 80's.
